The Leadership ProgrammesIES Leadership Programme series comprises the Young Engineers Leadership Programme (YELP) for junior engineers, the Advanced Engineers Leadership Programme (AELP) for mid-career engineers and the Global Engineers Leadership Programme (GELP). GELP is designed for engineers in C-Suite minus 1 or minus 2 positions such as Vice Presidents, General Managers and Group/Division Directors as part of a holistic programme to prepare engineers for senior leadership positions in a very complex world.
After our 3rd successful GELP in 2023, we are now embarking on our 4th GELP and the attached brochure provides an outline of the Course Content, and other administrative details.
GELP Components/Funding
The GELP comprises two components: The Engineering Leadership In Uncertainty (ELIU) which is conducted by the National University of Singapore and a Curated Dialogue Series which is organised by IES/NTUC.
We are pleased to advise that the ELIU component qualifies for Skills Future funding if the participants are citizenship/PR and further funding if the sponsoring company qualifies for Enhanced Training Support for SMEs.
GELP Theme/Programme
The theme for this year’s GELP is Challenges Brought About by Technological Disruptions.
- Participants are required to present a Capstone Project at the end of the programme.
The programme will include:
- A Fireside Chat with an Industry Leader / Networking Cocktail Reception on the Late Afternoon of 22nd Sept 2024 – Sunday (3pm -6pm)
- A Dialogue with a Senior Government Official (25th Sept 2024)
- Classroom sessions by leading NUS Professors, both from academia as well as industry,
- A unique leadership journey with musicians of an orchestra.
- A Panel Discussion with Industry Leaders (27th Sept 2024)
