IMechE Young Members are
Affiliate (Student) or
Associate Member of IMechE who have membership with the institution for less than 10 years.
IMechE Malaysia Young Members Section Committee was established in the year 2010 with the establishment of IMechE Student Chapters in Malaysia. The IMechE Malaysia Young Members Committee takes care of the concerns of Young Members in Malaysia e.g. membership, sponsorship, events, etc.
The IMechE Malaysia Young Members Section Committee also organises various events, such as networking activities, technical talks, training/workshops, site visits and engineering competitions for the benefit of the IMechE Young Members in Malaysia.
The number of IMechE Young Members in Malaysia is growing and currently there are over 3,200 members as of 30th April 2021.
As of 2021, there are 21 active IMechE Students Chapters in Malaysia under the supervision of the IMechE Malaysia Young Members Section Committee.
