Description

As India is emerging out of a second pandemic episode and 6-8 weeks lockdown, everyone involved in the Pandemic Infection Control Solutions (PICS) Task Force considered it crucial to disseminate available leading-edge information on the spreading mechanisms of the pandemic and methods to make workspaces more systematically infection proof, so that economies can recover.

This Webinar is presented by renowned experts at the leading edge of infection control. The emphasis is on engineering solutions

Information about the speaker

Professor Cath Noakes, Professor of Environmental Engineering for Buildings, University of Leeds
A chartered mechanical engineer, with a background in fluid dynamics. Catherine's teaching and research expertise is in building physics and environmental engineering. She leads research into ventilation, indoor air quality and infection control in the built environment. Was one of the first people globally to recognise COVID's airborne spread mechanism.

Frank Mills, Chair, Building Services Division
A chartered mechanical engineer, with extensive background in design, management, supervision, construction and operation of building services across a wide range of sectors. Fellow of CIBSE, Chartered Engineer and a member of ASHRAE.

Andrew Bradley, Chair, Aerospace Division
BSc Engineering Science, MEng, CEng. Fellow of IMechE and Fellow of RAeS
43 years at Rolls-Royce as researcher into and designer of aero gas turbines. Started as an apprentice before moving into noise research.  Then moved into design roles spending the last 20 years as Chief Design Engineer for several engine projects, both demonstrators of technology and production projects.

Produced papers and presentations for American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Institute of Materials, Royal Aeronautical Society and Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
