NOTICE is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Members of the Governing Body of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers-India Branch (“Society”) will be held on Sunday, November 01, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. (Indian Standard Time) on the MS Teams platform to transact business (or businesses) as set out in the enclosed agenda.

Agenda items:  

1. To receive the welcome address and opening remarks by the Chairman of the meeting.
2. To take note of and confirm the notice convening the Annual General Meeting.
3. To adopt and approve the Audited Balance Sheet and Auditor’s Report for the Financial Year ended on 31st March 2026.
4. To regularize and approve the submission of Annual Accounts and Returns with the Registrar of Societies (West Bengal) for the financial years from 2016–17 till 2025–26.
5. To take note of and record the present list of Members of the Governing Body.
6. To transact any other matter with the permission of the Chairman and the majority of members present. 

You are kindly requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting. All past and present office-bearers of the Governing Body of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers-India Branch (“Society”) for FY 2016 to 2026 are required to register and attend the meeting.

Last Date for the Registration is October 18, 2026. All the registered members shall receive MS Teams link by October 25, 2026.
