Graphene and 2D materials have the potential to revolutionise the world as we know it. The University of Manchester is the home of graphene, today the University has an unrivalled ecosystem of academic expertise and industrial-scale capability, currently working in collaboration with dozens of global partners with many more to come.
Graphene has reached a tipping point and we are now seeing real-world benefits living up to the early excitement of just a few years ago. Collaboration is key to realising graphene’s potential, building a community of partners will accelerate the step change in graphene’s commercial prospects.
The IMechE Aerospace North West division have organised a visit to the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC), which helps companies develop and launch new technologies, products and processes that exploit the remarkable properties of graphene and other 2D materials.
Join us in Manchester, where we will be touring the facilities at GEIC and hearing a talk from Professor James Baker, CEO of Graphene@Manchester, of which GEIC is a part.
